I’m a 25-year-old Ukrainian model who has been in the modeling business for over 10 years. My roommate-models jokingly call me a “grandma” sometimes because of my experience. I find it funny and cute! Sometimes, I get tired and they help me out by cooking for me, which is really nice.
It all started when a modeling agency found me on Facebook and invited me for an interview when I was just 15 years old. They liked me and we signed a contract. I started working on my portfolio and three months later, I flew to Seoul, South Korea, for my first modeling contract and my first trip abroad.
At the time, I knew nothing about Korea and didn’t explore much, but now Seoul is one of my favorite cities.
During the next six years, I mostly traveled to Asian countries like Japan, Taiwan, China, and Singapore, while also being a student in Ukraine. It was challenging to balance both, but online classes made it easier.
As my experience grew, I decided to try modeling in Europe. It was a tough decision to change my mother agency, but it worked well for me. I got new opportunities in Paris, Milan, Madrid, New York, and London. I even had a chance to audition for the Gucci runway show in 2019.
Due to the Covid pandemic, my European contracts got canceled. However, I was able to go back to South Korea because it was safe there. I had some good contracts during that time.
After eight months in Korea, I went to China when their borders opened. The trip had its challenges, like sudden quarantines and testing every 24 hours. Eventually, I took a break and went back to Ukraine to spend time with my family before starting a new contract in Japan.
Dior liked me and asked if I could cut my hair to look more boyish and dye it in “Chinese Red” color. I agreed and it was a crazy but memorable change.
My modeling routine includes waking up early, exercising before breakfast, attending castings, and having light lunches in between. I enjoy spending my weekends in clubs and experiencing the unique aspects of Japanese culture.
My lifestyle is all about keeping the momentum going and embracing new experiences!
